Wild Garden
Area: 1,300 sqm
This is a private garden design with a contemporary naturalistic character.
The entrance space utilizes the existing narrow passageway to establish an axial royal garden style. The red brick facade and simple stone paving highlight a sense of steadfastness upon entry.
The front yard pursues a "wild" order of plant aesthetics. Unlike traditionally trimmed gardens, this scheme extensively employs plants with an airy, dynamic quality—such as Stipa (needle grasses), rosemary, and Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Little Bunny'—to form a soft, flowing base layer. This meets the owners' needs for children's play and personal relaxation.
In the backyard, the existing metasequoia forest is utilized. Through different applications of raw stone, the design combines the clean lines of modern design with the essence of untouched nature. It emphasizes the natural extension of indoor living into the outdoors, creating a sense of seclusion within the city.
